  7. Happy New Year Kat and Savannah and Stephanie and Amber! Hope the new year brings you all much success. Yes, this commercial really hits home – I too remember all the last minute costumes I had to make! ;)

  8. Sandra Cox says:

Too cute! Got to love that mom.

  9. I love the expression on both faces, Sandra – the mom and the kid. Martin Van Buren. Very funny.

  10. Mama said there’d be days like that…

  11. Martin Van Buren never looked so…well, adorable and pouty in the back seat of a car.
She learned that some presidents aren’t amazing, handsome, superlative…and that’s a good lesson.
In 5th grade I learned that some aren’t even memorable when I drew the name of President Millard Fillmore. I had to research and write/perform a monologue to educate the class. Pretty stiff and unrealistic for a 5th grader back when Google and the internet didn’t exist. One of the girls in my class ended up naming her hamster Millard, and I wished she and I had traded presidents to research.

But this one was funny, and today I appreciate funny (and a couple of the other clips were so cute, too) so thank you, Julia, and Happy New Year!

  12. Tom Stronach says:

never mind celebrating Google, what a Mom knocking that disguise up …..

OK, OK, I know it was only an advert but a very good one it was too

  13. I know, I love that mom, Tom! The look on her face… I remember those days, believe me. Last minute costuming for school.

  14. Pouty is the perfect word, Marylin! So beardy pouty! Happy New Year to you too.

  15. I’ve had plenty, Steph! ;)
