I seriously wanted throw myself at this guy’s feet, Dennis Caplinger, who played the mandolin, fiddle, banjo and dobro like a celestial being. (With Tim Flannery and the Lunatic Fringe)  It’s the same way I was tempted to hurl myself at David Crosby when I heard him sing – I didn’t care that he was an older, fatter David Crosby.  As God is my witness, he still has the voice of an angel.

We went to a concert/fundraiser tonight and all I can say is, what an amazing group of musicians, including Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, who by the way, looks and sounds damn good.  There is nothing like good old Kentucky bluegrass music.  Nothing.

Here’s the updated version of this post – today. Kat – the lead singer sang Angel From Montgomery…angelically! She was so good. I once had a friend named Betty who sang with a band. Her rendition of Bonnie Raitt’s Angel From Montgomery made me cry every time.

Oh crap, what is the best part?  I got nuthin’.  To be honest, I’ve been writing so much today I have no space left in my brain.  I feel like River Tam on Firefly.

Let’s see – we had some rain.  I like it!  I’m sure the vintners are hating it – height of crush.

New twitter followers.  Happy!  Smiley face! 

Disliking Facebook more and more and more.

Good family news and bad family news, now waiting for the third piece of news because you know these things come in threes.

So what is the best part of what?  Writing books?  Creating something out of nothing.  Shaping words on a page that reflect my thoughts.  Doing what I wanted to do way back when I still had dreams of writing.

Meeting amazing authors and artists.  Making great friends.

Oh!  Oh!  New discoveries -  musicians – The Joy Formidable – great band from Wales.  How I love them!  And Gin Wigmore.  I was a big Amy Winehouse fan.  Listening to Gin makes me feel better.

Still recovering from all recent events.  It’s been a little crazy.  We were down in Oakland last night for a big birthday party.  The band was amazing, but so loud I think I’ve lost a good percentage of my hearing.  I could have danced all night if I wasn’t still so bloody tired!  I feel as if someone – hint hint – should put me in a vampire hidey-hole, and leave me there to sleep for three days.
