Kindle Countdown Deals Brought to You by Amazon!

Amazon has this new program – Kindle Countdown Deals.  I’m giving it a try.  It works like so– This is a new book promotion tool for authors enrolled in KDP Select on Amazon and Amazon.UK.  It allows authors to provide readers with promotional discounts for a select period of time.

I’ve enrolled two books:  Beauty and the Feast and One Foot In Heaven, so one fiction, one nonfiction, and we shall see.

Both books go on sale tomorrow at the discounted price!

Wicked Wednesday– Shemar Moore. Need I say more?

Be still my heart!

Be still my heart!

The first time I laid eyes on Shemar Moore was when he starred on The Young and the Restless.  He played bad boy Malcolm Winters.  My mom’s a big Y&R fan.  I was visiting her one summer and this guy stepped onto the set.  My mouth fell open.  I think I drooled.

“Who is that gorgeous hunk ‘o’ man?”

“Oh, that’s Malcolm Winters.”  She tsk-tsked.  “He’s having an affair with his brother’s wife and he got her pregnant but he doesn’t know the baby is his.  I don’t like him.”

“Who cares?  He’s pure eye candy.  Nummy num numssssssss.”

He’s now on some cop show… I don’t know which one because the only sort of cop show I watch is Person of Interest. I just like to look at pictures of Shemar Moore because he is so dang pretty.

Isn't he just the prettiest thing you've ever seen?

Eva Raines is an uncomplicated country girl who’s all about food. Eva moves to the Napa Valley where her culinary skills come to the attention of the owners of a start-up and Eva finds her niche as a personal chef. Now all she needs is a man as perfect as her cooking, but she has serious doubts such a creature exists.

When wealthy entrepreneur, winery owner, and noted lothario, Gabriel Abbott, makes plans to seduce his flavor of the month, his assistant hires All Things to All People to cater a gourmet dinner. Eva expects to use her way with food to showcase the startup. What she unexpectedly discovers is that her culinary skills showcase far more. Gabriel Abbott finds himself seduced by her voice and the sensual flavors and textures of her food and his previous plans are quickly forgotten. He begins to obsess about meeting his little chef in person. He’s not alone. Once Eva hears Gabe’s voice and spends time in his home in the Napa Valley, she begins to wonder about the real man and her dreams of him are so hot they could ignite a barbecue.

When Eva and Gabe finally come face to face, the question is, how hot will their fire burn?

I’m glad it’s Friday.

I have four days to work on re-writes!  In the meantime, author Eden Baylee (Exciting, Exotic, Extremely Erotic) has interviewed me – this is the all girl month on her blog.

Here you go, all you lovely readers – I told her yesterday she makes me sound cool when what I really am is a dork.

Taaa-daaaa!  Check it out right here– Inside the Mind of Julia Rachel Barrett.

In the meantime, here are a few pics from my Wales trip.

Well, and so it begins again.

The Evernight Birthday Blog Tour is done – many thanks to all who commented and tweeted.  I’ve submitted your email addys to Evernight so you can be entered in the drawings.  On Monday I’ll announce the names of the winners of Come Back To Me – one hard copy (U.S. residents only) and one copy from Evernight or, if you have a Kindle, from Amazon.

This has been a busy baseball week.  Writers do lots more than write.  I’m baseball obsessed, sometimes I like football.  Weird as it sounds I’m a Steelers fan.  There’s just something about that team…

In the meantime, both Beauty and the Feast and My Everything are free for your Kindle through Saturday.  Run, don’t walk…

Nice to be back.  I’ll probably grow more wordy as the days go by.

Coming soon-
