I’m super busy obsessing about the WCWS - the Women’s College World Series. There is no game like softball, except maybe baseball, but softball is even better. These girls are tough! Right now my favorite top dog is Cal and my favorite underdog is Hofstra, but since Hofstra just lost to USF it has to be USF. Can’t miss TV for me. Kinda sick, yeah… but then if you knew how many tens of thousands of miles I put on my car driving my daughter to softball tournaments you would understand.
Captured - the book I consider my magnum opus - is not available for your Kindle. Somehow Amazon chimera’d my book with another book by a completely different author. Literally smushed them together! Her book has since been repaired and reloaded. Despite the fact that I am the person who brought it to the attention of Amazon, my publisher and the other author, Captured remains, ahem, ‘under review‘.
Hey, I didn’t do it. I may be able to wreck my own site, but I had nothing to do with Amazon! Da-amn…
You know what? Tonight I plan to eat a burrito. Which should it be? Pollo asado? Pollo mole? Chili relleno? Oooh, so many yummy choices, so many calories.

Penny - don’t you wonder how that happens? You’re on Goodreads for two years and then somebody squishes your books together? Captured has been on Amazon for, oh, three years maybe and it’s suddenly some other book? Weird!

I had the opposite problem with GR, Penny! I have two stories out in two different books. One in which I sorta kinda didn’t write my pen name correctly (JD vs. J.D. what can I say, I was working on it at the time), so I had to wrangle with Good Reads to get them to include both on my author’s page. I haven’t even approached Amazon yet, so I dread what it’s going to cause there! Happy and safe Memorial day, all.
Hi, JD - I’ve given up loading books to Goodreads. Always get messed up. I let my readers do it if they like. They are much better at it than I am. Regarding Amazon, I’ve never had a problem with my self-pubbed books, and if I have any little issue, Amazon responds immediately. This is a publisher issue.
Ah, if only cubs remained forever cubs and Scottish laddies remained forever cute.
