The Brave New World of Children’s Books.

My friend, Penny Watson, has released a children’s book under the author name Nina Clark.

Lucy the Wonder Weenie, written by Nina Clark & illustrated by Sara Pulver.

Lucy

Word on the street is the book looks fantastic on your Kindle Fire AND it’s only 99 cents! You can buy a copy right here.

I asked Penny/Nina if she’d stop by and say a few words about the difference between marketing romance and marketing children’s books and she muttered something along the lines of- “Uh.. Muh.. Duh.. Huh.. Bluh…” I’m left with the impression there’s a world of difference. Kids want to hold books and open the pages. It’s still a tactile world. So Penny/Nina is off selling books out of the trunk of her car. And tearing out her lion’s mane of hair. Don’t hate her because she’s beautiful…

Heeeeeeee!!!!! Well, I got invited to an event called Wienerfest that happens in Belfast Maine every September. Weenie dog races, costume contests, and parades! I’m looking forward to that event. Hopefully I’ll have a booth and be signing my books. And hopefully my hair will survive! Bah!

    Thanks for the shout-out!!!!!!!!

    :)

  2. How fun! You’ll have a great time, Penny/Nina. Make sure you take the real Lucy with you!

  3. Wow, Penny and Wienerfest all in one place. Is that not fabulous? I think it is.

  4. Sometimes even us adults still want to hold the real book in our hands, but I love e readers for the storage…

  5. Yeah, I’m a big one for owning a Kindle Paperwhite but reading paperback books. :)
