A girl guy and a guy girl…
Why my man and I mesh so well - he’s a girl guy and I’m a guy girl.
He’s a macho bad boy with a kind heart. He’s got the animal magnetism of Jax from Sons of Anarchy, but at the same time, he’s one of those guys you see on television commercials holding a baby against his buff bare chest and your eyes fill with tears and the word ‘awwwww‘ is out of your mouth before can stop yourself. He’s good to children and the elderly and he treats women with respect. He knows his way around a woman’s body better than she knows it herself.
He also told me he’s going to stop talking to me because everything he says ends up on this website.
This is the secret to our marriage - it’s a big one. He’s a guy who can think like a girl. I’m a girl who can think like a guy. I can be tough and mean and stubborn and hard when I have to be. I wear jeans and slacks, hate makeup and dresses and I would rather die than put on anything remotely resembling pantyhose. I cuss like a demon, I drive fast and furious and I’ll body-slam anybody who hurts the people I love.
But we share the following qualities - a passionate nature, a loving, generous heart, a devotion to each other and our children (and pets), and a competitive, playful, energetic spirit. Growing up my friends were always boys - I rarely had a girlfriend. His friends were always girls. See? He’s a girl guy and I’m a guy girl.
Hey, it’s spring so I can say what I want, and today is Easter Sunday so nobody’s reading this anyway! Ya’ll be good now, hear?

Dang, Amber - you’re supposed to be out celebrating Easter, nor reading my blog! Now my hubby will say I write too much about him! The truth is, he’s the man behind the mask. All my heroes are an extension of him. Yours too?

I’m reading your blog, but I have no life, so maybe I don’t count. Seriously though, you two sound perfect for each other. I hope to find a good match one day.

Dana, you count every bit as much as anyone. I hope you find a good match too. You are a very cool person. I know this. j
