In other news, we have horizontal rain, wind, darkness…waiting for hail and locusts, possibly rivers running red with blood - and I had to walk my dog because he refuses to set foot in the backyard. Despite my layers, I was soaked to the skin within fifty yards. Oh well…fresh air.

Woman! Have you never heard of a raincoat that goes over your coat? A plastic poncho, maybe? A rain slicker? Tsk tsk! It’s much drier, and you can hang it on the back door with a towel under it to dry (or in your shower). I wore one when I went to Sea World, and came back dry as a bone. That was the third day after the Tsunami of 2006 and southern California was drenched, not to mention the whales throwing 20 foot waves over us.
