When all else fails, buy a purse.

I admit it…I am a Coach addict.

I’ve been feeling like crap for weeks now, so tomorrow I’m going shopping. Coach sent me a 20% off coupon today - albeit they spelled my name hideously wrong - but no matter, they hooked me and I’m buying a new Coach bag tomorrow. It’s my one weakness, well, my second weakness, the first being chocolate…no wait, my third weakness, the first being sex with my sweetie. I swear I will feel better with a new bag.

Many thanks to Suzanne Johnson for replaying her invaluable post here. Yes, sometimes it’s okay and even necessary to tell. Narrative is not always a baaaaad thing.

I’m feeling kind of happy despite this lingering illness -what a scary thought! Knock wood because I just know the evil eye, like Sauron, is turning in my direction. I’m wearing my good juju necklace despite some additional bad juju news this week - I’ve also heard some good juju news.

Anytime Darlin’ - five angels from Fallen Angel Reviews - it’s in my review page - thank you so much Bella.

The San Francisco Giants, and my guy Andres Torres, the 2010 Willie Mac winner…remember, I saw him first (last year, ladies, so keep your damn hands to yourselves) are, as I write this, one game away from winning the pennant…dear God let my team win!

My puppy ate two herbal cough drops this morning. He likes to smell my breath when I suck on them and he managed to grab a couple off my dresser.

Okay, that’s about it. Wherever you are, happy weekend. Sending you good thoughts. Julia

Congrats on the new review. Good Luck with the Giants. The Red Sox had so many injuries this year they don’t have any hope left.

Our yellow lab loves anything like that. Crazy when we got our chocolate lab everyone said, Oh no, you’re in for a load of trouble. They’re the most hyper dogs. He’s the most laid back well behaved of the bunch. :) Wouldn’t trade any of them for the world.

  2. I love retail therapy! It always makes me feel better:) I love browsing through antique and thrift stores looking for that find that will inspire me. Hope you’re feeling better!

I have a lab mix and although she is normally well-behaved, chocolate will push her past her limit. She once ‘rocked’ an antique bowl with two little mini chocolate bars and ate them, paper and all. I keep them in a covered dish now and I swear she sighs when she walks past it!

  3. Ah, retail therapy…yum! German shepherd pups rival labs in the energy department, but they aren’t diggers and chewers. Our golden retriever ate her way through our landscaping for four years, along with every shoe she could get her mouth on. After the age of four, she was perfection! German shepherds just have tons of energy and have to be doing stuff all the time.

My dad loves shopping and he’s a better shopper than I am. He loves the Coach website. He recently sent me a Coach “cognac” brown leather handbag for my birthday. I love it. The only trouble is Coach handbag’s are so durable they last forever and I can’t justify replacing them! lol

I forgot to mention the handbag in the picture looks a little like an old-fashioned doctor’s kit and no doubt the leather polish used to make it so beautiful contains medicinal properties to cure the blahs… Simply brushing your fingertips across it’s glossy surface will heal you. lol

  7. Kat - yes, damn these Coach bags! I’ve had one for two years and it still looks like new, and I use it for everyday!
Ah yes, the healing touch…I want that sucker!

There is a Coach outlet, a Dooney and Burke outlet, and a, wait for it, Cole Haan outlet about 7 minutes from my house. As well as LL Bean, Clark and so on. I have so many pairs of Cole Haan shoes I don’t even know what they are — usually painful.

I however truly and deeply love Hobo International for their built in wallets, and Kate Spade for good engineering.

I like to buy cosmetics b/c you always feel and look better, it doesn’t care if you have gained wait, or if you have on the right lingerie to try something on.

The Sox screwed the Yankees today putting the evil ones into the wild card slot but unfortunately the Sox are out. I went to my first game at Fenway a few weeks ago.

Y’all have to bottle the libido recipe you would make a mint.

My 7 tear old mackeral tabby had major surgery this week and is currently playing Mr. Fishing Pole, carefully. She was totally stoned on an opiate pain patch and she was tripping - she hasn’t let me sleep since Thursday.

  9. Oooh…Kate Spade…drool…she’s my favorite bag designer. Wish I could afford her stuff. It is to die for.

I envy people who can wear and/or apply cosmetics. I can’t do either. Look like a clown and my daughters have to apply eye makeup for me - this is what happens when you grow up with a mother who has no clue about make up or lingerie and has spent her entire life in granny panties.

I can’t talk yet about the Giants because we going into the 9th. OMG OMG OMG OMG!

Libido - hubby is Mr. Testosterone. He might read this so I can’t say anything more personal.

Poor kitty - I hope she’s okay. Yeah, when I had my knee rebuilt, that fentanyl patch was a trip…like a nice trip, but man, try driving with that sucker on - and I had to drive 160 miles roundtrip for my doctor appointments!
