Here are some pics of one of the wilderness parks where Jake and I walk. This is the more open park. He gets to run through open meadows now that the fox tails have calmed down. So now you know one of the reasons we do it. This weekend I’ll take pictures at our other favorite park.

Gorgeous.
Beautiful!
So lovely! I wish I was a German Shepherd puppy… At least for a day.

These pictures are gorgeous! I’m new to your blog (had to read those posts about the “awesome” ass ROFL!) and am loving your posts! I was wondering where this is (at least the state)? I live in an extremely flat part of Illinois, and I’m always looking for pretty parts of the country to visit. (Instead of visiting cities, I prefer to get away to see natural wonders. :0) )
Thanks and all the best,
Laurie
Thanks, Laurie! And they’re taken with my cell phone! I’m originally from Iowa and I miss my cornfields, but now we live in Northern California. Hubby’s from Minnesota and he hates snow so he dragged me out here. We live 55 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge (when there’s no traffic). Just come to the Napa Valley and you’ll see such sights! Especially now that all the tourists are gone.
He is spoiled!
Thanks, Amber!
Thanks, Julia! I’ve always wanted to visit the Napa Valley-for the wines, naturally! I never realized it also had wilderness areas. So beautiful! (Your cell phone is amazing! :0) )
Oh yes, much wilderness. Of course I’m also walking next to a vineyard in one section.
This is awesome. So beautiful. Jealous of this scenery. You have to love those walks. What a wonderful playground for a writer’s mind.
Sandra - thanks - I know you’ve had some gorgeous shots of your side of the country!
Yes, Rachel - the hikes keep me sane! And Jake is a lot of fun.
How beautiful!! I’m so jealous. My husband and I have a dream of owning property and living in wide open space. Alas, job keeps us firmly planted in metropolis.
Yes - we do live in a pretty area on the edge of town, but while we have the great restaurants, we don’t get the good concerts or plays. Have to drive into San Francisco for those.
Really lovely. Makes me want to spend some time outdoors tomorrow.
Hi Charlie! It will be raining here but I just bought a poncho so off we’ll go! If Jake doesn’t get at least two long walks a day, I’m screwed!
