Wish List, Reading List, Hot Water.

Let’s tackle the hot water first. Our water heater lost its bottom today. How did I know? I was super cold and went to take a shower, only to step under a cascade of ice water. Yikes! It was memorable. The new water heater is being installed as I write this. I would make a lousy post-apocalyptic survivor. Yeah, I could do it, but I’d be grousing about the lack of hot showers forever. Maybe that’s why the shower scene in the finale of The Walking Dead touched me so deeply.

In my reading pile!!! Rebels and Lovers, by Linnea Sinclair. Forbidden Highlander, by Donna Grant (thanks Donna!). Generations of Winter, by Vassily Aksyonov. See? Not writing…reading. Bad bad romance writer! Bad writer! (I did spend some time on one WIP last night.)

Books I wish you would read…

Solstice Seduction, by Bronwyn Green, Coming December 27th. (Bron is offering a copy to one lucky person so leave a comment for her.)

Book one in the Celtic Fire Series
Is love enough to redeem the fallen?

Banished from Heaven as punishment for his sins, Taliesin has walked among humans for thousands of years. He’s damned sick of it. Death would be preferable to the cultural bankruptcy of the twenty-first century, but what’s a cursed immortal to do? It’s not like he can kill himself.

Dr. Emerson Matthews has no clue what to do with the enigmatic, gorgeous man who has landed in the psych ward at the hospital where she works. Well, she knows what she wants to do, but it’s unethical and likely illegal. Especially since he seems to be out of his mind. Why else would he claim to be a fallen angel?

Hell bent on seduction, Taliesin tempts Emerson, luring her tightly guarded passion to the surface and introduces her to sensual delights she’s never dreamed of. As she learns more about the mysterious man in her care, she begins to question her own sanity as his claims of Divine origin seem more plausible with each passing moment.

Cross My Heart, by Paris Brandon, Coming December 17th.

Late night radio talk show host Valentine Cross and police detective Jack Sutton’s ideological differences mattered until it came to down-and-dirty-up-against-the-wall sex. The conflagration seemed worth a relationship where all they ever seemed to do was have sex or fight. Until Jack issued an ultimatum that Val was afraid would destroy them both.

Six months after stalking out of her life because she refused to marry him, Jack’s boss hands him an assignment that sends him right back into the fire. Val might be hiding his suspect and she’s in danger. Oh yeah, there’s also the little problem of not being able to stop having mind-blowing sex with his ex long enough to solve the crime and figure out how they’re going to make it all work this time.
