My favorite dress of the Academy Awards. Also hubby’s favorite dress. Do you know what he said? He said…“All a man can think about is taking if off…”
Should I smack him? Or buy a dress like it? I think I’ll smack him Leroy Jethro Gibbs-style and then put the line in a story. Oh, wait, I already used it in Beauty and the Feast.
Unfortunately I have a sore throat. Aside from migraines, I rarely get sick. Blech. Over at Night Writers Tuesday talking mushrooms.
New singer discovered by my husband: Adele…love her!

Great observation (no pun intended!) - kudos to your hubby! It sure makes “me” want to go buy one! I loved it too, it was my favorite as well! Every time she bent over during the awards presentation I kept wondering how much sticky tape was used to keep it in place!
Julie - I think it was glue…had to be! I waited for a wardrobe malfunction, but it never happened. That dress was so gorgeous! And it looked perfect on her!
It was a gorgeous dress. I kept waiting for the wardrobe malfunction too. Tape, glue, you know they used a lot of it!
I loved that dress, too. Very romantic!
I hope you feel better…That is a pretty dress….Must cost a ton..
One of the most exciting things about the Academy Awards this year was the burst of color and the textures of the fabrics. The iridescent midnight blue dress that Ann Hathaway wore had my husband pointing at the screen and shouting “Look it’s Tanzanite blue!” (his favorite gemstone) I didn’t look at the dress I looked at him… Is this proof the Goddess is coming? Since when did men care about Academy Award gowns? lol
I loved the color of the orange dress Dido wore. Mila Kunis’ dress was the most lovely color, it’s so subtle and feminine.
Thank you for the introduction to Adele-she’s wonderful! I love her voice.
XXOO Kat
Kat - So funny! Your husband pays attention to details like the guy in Legally Blonde - “Don’t you tap your last year’s Prada’s at me, little girl…” Obviously, your husband is an artist! He knows his blues! Mine’s not looking at the color! LOL! Schmuck! I also loved Amy Adam’s blue dress. And I liked Ann’s red dress - dang that looked good on her. Adele reminds me of a latter day Bonnie Raitt.
Yes, thanks Savannah, better today. If I do get ill, I tend to get over it quickly.
Utterly romantic, Penny - so feminine and delicate.
LOL Amber! Too funny! I think it had to be glue because it seems like tape would ruin the lines.
Hope you’re feeling better today Julia
