Is there an unfortunate connection between a chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven and a hairy tarantula? Did one of those leggy things snatch a warm cookie away from you? If it did, I’d hate them too. lol

Why yes, Kat, there is. I was baking the cookies while watching (through the window) a fat spider catch and eat a bee which reminded me of the time I picked up a tarantula from our bathtub in Phoenix. He looked like a big hairy ball and I had no idea what he was until he unfolded in my hand. My scream was very loud. He survived. Put him in a paper bag and set him free.
I woke at 4:30 for a pee and found my cat Gemma checking out a huge effing centipede. Me - Scream - Don! What! Big Bug. By the time he got to it it had disappeared. Fortunately the storm has given him the opportunity to spray every where with diatomaceous earth and in safe areas with boric acid. I had really bites and now I think it was centipede.
Cat Scan tomorrow for the sinus. Yay, maybe it will get me somewhere.
Tortillas also taste best right from the oven - just made a bunch. and a big pot of chili.
Oh Steph, I have a great centipede story! But I’ll save it for later. Chili and tortillas…nice!
