What am I reading???

Just finished Getting Off, by Lawrence Block (see review). Darkly funny, terrifying and so very engrossing…hubby’s reading it now.

Finished Blue Jeans and Stilettos, by Jordyn Meryl, C. Deanne Rowe, and Magnolia “Maggie” Rivers. Heartfelt, touching, real, sort of old fashioned romance - I wish these three ‘Writers of the Lake’ all good things. They’ve decided to follow their hearts and take the road less traveled.

Just started…and can’t stop…the fun, the fantastic, the deliciously sexy holiday romance, Sweet Magik, by Penny Watson. It’s not available yet, but dang, you gotta get you some of this Christmas goodness when it’s released in November with Wild Rose Press. I’m the first to admit I’m not big on holiday stories unless I’m at the movies, but I am LOVING this book about Oscar Klaus and Kiana Grant. It doesn’t hurt that Penny appropriately throws in some German - foreign language in romance is a major turn on for me.

I picked up two books recommended by Aaron Pound over at Dreaming About Other Worlds - Predictably Irrational and The Upside of Irrationality, both by Dan Ariely. Since I tend to be irrational, or rationally irrational, I can’t wait to be vindicated.

Oh, I’m a quarter through my yearly reread of Shogun, by James Clavell. It’s one of the four books I read every year. The other three are Dune, by Frank Herbert, Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, and Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott.

On the writing front, In the Flesh, the sequel to Incorporeal, is coming along nicely. Using this as part of the story:
