Post of the Freakin’ Year.

Before I stage the English Graham v Scottish Graeme Death Match, I have an announcement to make: Penny Romance has a post today (Friday, December 2) that I am awarding my first official Post of the Freakin’ Year. Check. It. Out. She’s carrying the torch for every one of us. http://www.pennyromance.com/

I guess I have some other announcements:

Zombieland is a great movie. Watching it as I type. Can’t think of a more perfect holiday movie, unless it’s that Rudolf puppet movie with the elf who wants to be a dentist.

Diane Keaton is my hero. I can’t wait to get her autobiography - Then Again. I read an interview she did about the book - she’s afraid to fly (it’s so cool - we’re in the same club) and she said she’d love plastic surgery, but when you hit 65 a facelift just doesn’t look right. She rocks. She never married, she adopted two kids, she was devoted to her mom, who died of Alzheimer’s Dementia. She’s talented as all hell and she seems like a genuinely nice person. She’s the one actress I’d like to meet. I know everybody loves Annie Hall, but this is actually my favorite scene - from Sleeper:

Postponing the death match until the weekend. Oh and after a story - What’s Shakin’.

Thanks, Julia! :^) I’m getting a little bit tired of the romance-bashing this week.

Also, I LOVE Diane Keaton, too. She has so much style and is an American icon. I want to be her when I grow up!

  2. Yes, Pen, she is an icon. I adore her.

  3. Stephanie says:

Diane Keaton spoke at the BEA breakfast last year. She and Mindy Kalan (spelling?) were great.
