Advice from book bloggers:
I’ve been seeing this everywhere from all sorts of book bloggers -
how to create a reader/googler-friendly site.
1. Delete the bells, whistles and gimmicks.
2. Ax the media crappola. No music, no downloads, no video presentations.
3. Make the site easy to navigate.
4. Keep your books where we can see ‘em! Same goes for your publisher links.
5. Quit yer yappin’ - me me me me me…all the time…more me. Talk about somebody else once in a while.
Pretty good advice, but I feel a little like there’s a finger wagging in my face. Speaking for the gratuitous me…yes, book blogger mommies, I’ll clean up my site…hangs head in shame…

Happy Follow Friday!!! Hope you will stop by my blog too! My publisher and I are looking for a group of bloggers for a huge blog tour next year before the release of book two in my ‘A Sense of Truth’ series! We will be giving out a few more copies of The Thirteenth Chime (we can only give out so many, being open to e-books gives an upper hand) and are still open to all interviews and guest posts. We want to fill up the Amazon page with reviews and try to reach as many people as we can!!! Hope you might consider being a part of the team! Thank you either way!
Sincerely,
Emma Michaels

All very good advice.

Good advice, though I do think a lot of book bloggers could stand to take some of it themselves - my connection nearly dies under the weight of some image and widget heavy blogs these days.
(Personally, I find your site easy to load and navigate, if that’s of any consolation!)

I agree, Amber, but sometimes it’s the pot calling the kettle black!
Shiori - Thanks! I find your site very clean and easy to read also. I avoid blogger sites that download far too much info, have too many links and pages and take forever to load on my computer. There are some sites where I have to search for the most recent posts - like it’s buried under layers of stuff.
