And now to the edits! I’m excited to get on with it…and feeling much calmer tonight.
We were up most of the night last night. My parents’ anniversary was Sunday, last night my father ended up in the ER and spent the night in ICU. Needless to say, nobody got much sleep. I got one of those calls you dread, but it was too late for me to get on the highway and drive six hours through the mountains.
My mom refused my offer to come up today - I’m planning on spending next week with them to help them move to their new house.
Thank God it seems that whatever happened was not life-threatening. At first it appeared he’d had a stroke, but he didn’t. He was released from the hospital this evening. My family is fortunate. My parents are robust, active, happy, healthy, vibrant. They lead a great life. So…knock on wood they’ll stay this way for a long time to come.

I hope your father will heal quickly. I wonder if anxiety about moving played into it?
