In the meantime…

While I’m waiting for Amazon to upload Incorporeal and All Romance Ebooks to approve my account, I’m working on the next installment, In the Flesh, and reading Jane Slayre, by Charlotte Bronte (?) and Sherri Browning Erwin - thanks to Penelope Loves to Read.

The book is supercilious, salacious and just plain silly, but oh-so-fun to read. Maybe it’s because I adore Jane Eyre. Who knows? Jane Slayre is the cracked mirror version of the Bronte masterpiece.

Just received my copy of A Dance with Dragons. Doesn’t look half bad. I’m thinking I may enjoy this installment more than A Feast for Crows. It’s not that A Feast for Crows was bad, it wasn’t. Martin’s prose is word poetry. The problem I had with A Feast for Crows was that his beautiful words did not move the story forward. They were words for words’ sake, as in quite possibly, an author in love with his own voice. Martin left his readers jogging in place. I’m hoping Martin returns to storytelling with A Dance with Dragons. And I hope, once again, he doesn’t kill off, ignore, or taint every single sympathetic character. Readers do appreciate continuity, especially when we wait so damn long between books.
