I’m Baaaaaaaack!

All right. I have lots to say and very little time. The trip was a mixed bag - ended on a high note and I’m glad to be home. Learned a lot about RV travel, especially a lot about RV travel with a big dog. Overall a worthwhile experiment.

Got no work done, unless you count reading as work. I finished Winter Woman - LOVED IT! Review coming soon.

Read A Week As Andrea Benstock and came to the conclusion that Lawrence Block, writing as Jill Emerson, outdid himself years ago. I laughed, I cried, I became infuriated and frustrated. I know/knew Andrea Benstock and I know/knew her self-destructive friend Winkie (Winnie). A Week As Andrea Benstock was both a knife in my heart and an acerbic commentary on a generation of lost women. Can’t tell you how many times I wanted to smack Andrea a good one, but I couldn’t because I understood her too well. Andrea, and women like her, were my many mothers and grandmothers. Official review coming soon.

Finished up Japanese History to 1334 - now starting on the next volume. I do love history, always had a thing about Japanese history. Wrote a stellar paper on the subject back in college. Got it published. But that was once upon a time…

All right, gotta git this rattle-trap, oops, I mean RV, back to the RV center.

Laters! :)

  5. RV’s, how can something so big on the outside be so small on the inside?
I’m happy you’re home. You were very much missed on-line and I’m glad you’re back.

  6. Thanks Kat, Ciara, Evie, Penny, Jaye! I am still on hyper-drive. Helping son pack up today. He leaves for Maine tomorrow. And then I have three repairmen coming all at once for the wood-burning stove, the furnace and the clothes dryer. Maybe by the weekend we can all catch up.

YaY. Julia’s back!!!!!! So lucky, that must have an awesome adventure traveling in an RV. Hubby and I always dreamed of getting one and traveling all over the place. Glad you got to experience it.

  8. Delilah - it’s a super interesting experience. Can’t say I’d recommend renting an old one tho - too much mileage so they rattle like mad.

  9. Nina Pierce says:

Welcome home. Someday I’d like to hope in an RV and just travel. It’s on my bucket list. I’m sure you have tons of stories of your adventure and I look forward to reading about them.

  10. Nina, you’d like an RV, just get one that’s insulated!
