about getting a foot in the door via e-publishers. Now I’m moving out on my own, baby step by baby step.
Other author friends are doing the same. This is a brave new world.
J. W. Manus has series of excellent posts on the steps involved in self-pubbing. Well worth the read.
I’m revising my four-book science fiction series, Daughters of Persephone, exploring cover options, learning to format… Yup. Fun, scary, all good.
In the end, the buck stops with me, but I’m happy to say I have friends in low places.
Tomorrow - a guest, Casey Wyatt!

You go girl… Go, you’ll conquer the world but just watch the punctuation as we do know that Jaye has a mean streak BUT LOVEABLE all the same…..
You’re on the Path of Badassery, too. Isn’t it fun?
Hee hee…I like Tom’s comment about the Grammar Police (aka Jaye)….:^)
This was a timely post. That’s all I’m saying.
Thanks for the resource.
I am so happy to read your books (self-pubbed or otherwise!). I imagine, I will take that leap eventually. It’s really nice to know we have options now. I went with a smaller press because I wanted my stories in readers hands. As a reader, I don’t care who publishes the book. I just want my favorite author fix!
I think you’re the perfect person to succeed at self-publishing! You’re so talented and capable of doing so many things so well.
Hurray that “Daughters” is yours again!
I’m still waiting for your I-grew-it-myself-, painted -its picture- and wrote a sensuous little expose about it, cookbook! lol
XXOO Kat
You strike me as a meticulous, I-will-get-it-right person who can pull off whatever you want to do. Go for it.
I’ve taken the first step with a free read..The only thing that is slowing me down is formatting..I am a bit lost when it comes to all of that.
Oh, yeah, Savannah - formatting. I need all the help I can get! Good luck!
Thank you Anny, thank you Kat, thank you Casey. I am a big fan of smaller presses!
You’re welcome, Ciara.
Hey Tom and Penny - yeah, we all gotta watch out for the grammar gremlin!
Hi Amber - no problem. I’ve been there lately!
