The beauty of blogging - doesn’t matter if you have ten followers, a hundred, a thousand, ten thousand - is this… your blog is your space, and you can do what you want. Your blog is your platform, not talking about the ambiguous author platform here, but more like a virtual soapbox where you have the freedom to write about your pet projects - poetry, recipes, short stories, flash fiction, humor, artwork, op-ed pieces… It’s all you, baby.
Of course anyone can use a blog to lie for fun and/or profit, but whatever. Comes with the territory. It’s always been up to the discerning reader to tell truth from fiction.
I blog for love. And I guess because it’s good for me to think out loud, focuses my brain. Blogging every day keeps me disciplined, or at least as disciplined as I’m going to get.
I won’t ask you why you blog… but I bet there’s a whole lotta love out there.

And we do enjoy your blogs.
And I love reading your blog - so - thank you!
Put me in the blogophile camp. I love writing them, love reading them.
I especially love blogs that occasionally surprise me. Like this one.
I love your blog! It always surprises and entertains me.
XXOO Kat
I blog because it is fun and it is my space to give people a little look into me and my life..Blogging is a wonderful thing.
I think you hit the nail on the head about doing what you want to with your own blog. We are so hemmed in about our manuscripts that we’re trying to get published….adhering to the pub’s list of criteria, following certain genre-related parameters, following all the “rules.” It’s so liberating to have a platform where you can let your (Bon Jovi-like) hair down and just be yourself, and discuss whatever you want to. I love blogs! And it’s great to have friends/fans who follow you. We’re feeling the love, baby!
I love blogging. It’s something I enjoy that I would like to think I do well.
I think you are all wonderful bloggers - which is why I visit your sites daily! However, I gotta get back to darker blogging. This is so sugary it’s hurting my teeth - and I wrote it. Gaaaaa!
I blog because I need somewhere to write the thoughts and feelings that matter to me. For all I know, no one reads it. Or one or two people. Regardless of whether or not other people read it, I have those feelings/emotions off my chest. Glad you write one, too!
Yup, Anny, I’m with you!
I blog because I love to write. I have so many thoughts in my head, it feels good to type them out of me LOL! I love reading people’s thoughts, finding out what they liked and didn’t like. It is fun and it is your little world. How can you not love to blog? Awesome post hon
Hi Diana! I know you do it for love! Shows in every word you write.
I blog because the inter-dimensional beings I see when I press on my eyeballs tell me to.
Well, Greg, I guess that’s as good a reason as any!
