I believe…

There is only one Mr. Spock.

Accept no substitutes.

Soft ginger cookies are perfect with ginger peach tea and wild flower honey.

Ginger cookie experiment #1.

In milk chocolate.

Lowell George and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are the two greatest composers of the last 500 years.

In children and dogs and a goldfish named Stuffy.

Stuffy.

In birdie kisses.

In taking an occasional risk. Hell, being born is the biggest risk of all.

In football, baseball and women’s fastpitch softball.

I believe in riding a horse very very fast. (Or maybe swimming…)

Love swimming my horse across a river!

In walking barefoot on the beach.

Barefoot on the beach.

Hiking through the mountains.

In trying to speak other languages. Which is probably why Russia keeps calling.

In a Scottish brogue. Period.

In reincarnation. Yeah, I do.

Jewish reincarnation.

In reading much and reading often both by yourself and with your children.

One of our faves!

In home-cooked meals.

In a lifetime of learning.

In kindness.

In courage.

In laughter.

In love.

In hate for the right reasons. Never underestimate the power of hate. But with great power comes great responsibility. Remember that.

  4. Yes, Roberta. I have faith in us, in general. We do rise above ourselves when the occasion demands it.
