He has the right idea. I just don’t know if I can implement it.
He goes into seclusion to write a new book. Wow. He’s so prolific!
I could write a whole lotta stuff if I could only put the rest of my life on hold.
Well.
Unfortunately isolation, even for a few weeks, is out of the question. At least for the time being.
But yeah, I can see it. I’m going down my mental list of all those books in the queue.

If only….
You gotta do what you gotta do.
To do that, you have to be able to AFFORD seclusion. Not the cost - I’m sure there are low-cost alternative (I know, for example, you can rent a nice cottage in a PA State Park for a reasonable amount, WITH electricity).
But 1) you have to pack, and take enough STUFF with you to have work, food, clothes, toothpaste…
And 2) you have to be able to leave everything behind, including the chinchilla, and the tuition for the college kid, and… and my list there is endless, I’m ten years behind on it anyway, and leaving the house takes so much energy it’s a crazy thought.
I would love to go into seclusion - maybe it’s a male thing to just drop everything and do it? Or an organized female thing? The reality of it vastly overpowers the longing.
But yes, what I could accomplish if only…
I’m with Alicia. I’m not sure it would work for a woman-even if you could surmount all the side issues. The best thing is to set aside a specific amount of time, close the door, and write.
Amber - yes.
True, Roberta. I’m usually pressed for time.
Yes, Alicia, good point. I’d be okay with one week. I think one week would be helpful. A month away would be ideal. But then it’s a pipe dream!
Well, we women do have lots of responsibility, don’t we, Anny?
What a great image! Yowser! I know what you mean regarding being pressed for time. I have no idea how you do what you do and blog so frequently. Hugs.
Yes, life does keep us busy, doesn’t it, Diana? But family is everything to me, same with you, I know.
The picture says it all.
Yes, Sandra. Le’ Sigh…
