Give this one some thought. I actually have two favorite movie scenes, but wow - there are so many!
Excalibur, with Nicol Williamson as Merlin, Gabriel Byrne as Uther Pendragon, and Katrine Boorman as Ygrayne. Not only is the movie my favorite big screen version of the Arthurian legend, the scene where Merlin disguises Uther as Ygrayne’s husband so that he can slake his lust for the woman is flat out beyond lusty. Are you aware that Helen Mirrin plays Arthur’s half-sister, Morgana, and Liam Neeson plays Gawain? Even Patrick Stewart has a role.
The other movie I love involves a semi-forced seduction. By today’s standards, the scene is tame, but the story is powerful. The movie is Three Days of the Condor, starring Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway. She’s his unwilling captive, yet she’s drawn to him. He’s a good guy forced to do terrible things. What a great story of romantic-suspense! My favorite character in the entire movie? The freelance hit man, Joubert, played by the brilliant actor Max von Sydow.

This is so strange I was thinking of this exact scene in Excalibur yesterday! The ravishment scene is stunning, no doubt about it BUT Katrine Boorman is being filmed by her father John… It’s a a bit touchy from that angle.
Still, Excalibur is one of my top ten favorite movies.

Kat, I didn’t realize they were related! I thought it was a coincidence! Yes, the scene is shocking and sexy and gorgeous at the same time! Excalibur is one of those movies people forget about, but I think it’s great!
I have not seen those movies but will have to find a copy and check them out.
I know I’ve seen many great scenes, but can’t think of any at the moment.
I LOVED Excalibur though.

I loved the kissing scene between Daniel Day Lewis and Madeline Stowe in the “Last of the Mohicans”, so beautiful. I love the Big Easy too!

Oh Kat, in Last of the Mohicans, I loved the love story between Alice Munro and Uncas - when she stepped off the cliff after him…my heart stopped.
Body Heat! The whole movie!

3 Days of the Condor, definitely a classic. That Robert Redford was ( and maybe still is) quite the hottie.
