It’s the little things.

My sister and I agree upon the following - a sense of humor is essential. I happen to think a strong sense of survival, or self-preservation, is also essential.

Some of you know how much I love Daniel Craig. He was in the semi-obscure movie, Defiance, where he played a Jewish partisan trying to stay one step ahead of the Nazis, and keep the people who’d come to him for help, alive. Good survival instincts.

My husband is a study the situation, examine all the facts, and make a measured decision sort of person. I look at a situation and follow my gut. Both methods have their strengths and weaknesses. Maybe that’s why we’re such a good match.

I know this is rambling, but I want to show you a few movie scenes that I think are outstanding - maybe the movies aren’t great overall, but these scenes stay with me. One because it reminds me of my husband - humor Bet you can guess which one! :) The other because it is so heart-stopping - survival. Actually no, I won’t post the opening scene in Disturbia precisely because it is so graphic, so disturbing and so well done.

But I will post this scene from Hitch, with Will Smith and Kevin James, because it reminds me of someone near and dear!
