Pizza and Supernatural.

So I watched a few episodes of Supernatural to see what the hubbub was about, and I get it, ladies, I get it. Hot, scary stuff.

Since we’re talking eye candy, i.e., food - yesterday’s grilled chicken and Supernatural guys - let’s talk about pizza.

When it comes to pizza, I’m pickier’n'shit. Which is probably why I don’t indulge often. I’ve eaten pizza from coast to coast, tried Chicago’s famous deep dish and visited New York’s hole in the wall pizzerias. I have yet to find any pizza to compare to Pizza King’s cheese pizza in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It’s simply the best. Hand-tossed thin crust, never soggy, cheesy, tomato-y… The pizzas aren’t perfectly round because they’re formed by hand. And they’re cut in all directions so sometimes you get a square piece, or a rectangle piece, or a little triangle piece. Yum. Truly destination-worthy. Makes me want to fly back to my old stomping ground simply for a cheese pizza.

I’ve had pizza in Rome, and that’s my second favorite place for pizza, but even Rome isn’t as good as Pizza King.

    There’s a place here in RI that cuts the pizza the same way. The DH swears it’s the best. Personally I’m a New Yorker so I’m all for NY style pizza. :)

    Shushhh… Don’t let the Roman’s know Pizza King has the best pizza. The Centurions might invade Iowa and conquer!

    I hate sweet tomato sauce….I have a thing about the sauce….it’s gotta be tangy, not too sweet. However, pizza is now on my no-no list. When the kids order a pizza I inhale the delicious aroma and then I eat my salad. *grumble, grumble*
