The #WCWS - Women’s College World Series.

That time of year again. Softball.

Yeah.

There is nothing like women’s softball. The most fun sport ever. I pitched in high school. My daughter played an outstanding catcher and third base. She still plays in a competitive rec league.

She sent me this photo - she’s on the East Coast at the beach with her boyfriend, his brother and another of their relatives:

My daughter says, “I’m in a roomful of guys watching the College World Series. Great.”

It’s an obsession with me. The television is on from dawn to dusk. I’m glued to the set until the very last out of the #WCWS.

It’s been interesting to watch girls my daughter played with or against on the national stage. However this is the first year we do not personally know any of the participants. By that I mean this is the first season we haven’t encountered them in actual fastpitch softball tournaments or high school games. Dallas Escobedo, of the Arizona State Sun Devils, is the one exception. Oh, yeah, Ellen Renfroe of Tennessee, although we were more familiar with her sister, Ivy.

So, ya’ll have a terrific Monday. Happy barbecues and family time. Love ya’s! Julia
