Ya’ll know who he is because I’ve been talking about him for two years, Andres Torres of the San Francisco Giants.
At the ripe old age of thirty-two, when most players are dialing their careers down, he’s just gettin’ started. I was not even born, or too young to remember the big baseball heroes of yore, but from what I can tell, Andres Torres fits the bill. He’s got a huge heart. My son has ADD.
Makes me cry.

Wow…what a great sports hero to have.
We had a teenaged son who was undergoing analysis for the condition, and as I read through the checklist of symptoms, I kept noticing how many of them fit my husband as well. A few months later, like my son, my husband was diagnosed with ADD (no hyperactivity). He had just turned 40. He laughed, and said, “Great! Now I’ll be able to pay attention if a midlife crisis hits.” Once on treatment, both of them changed for the better. I could fill your comment section with the good outcomes for both of them. Thank you for sharing this! Bless you as you and your family seek the right path.
Amber, he is great. I’ve loved him since the very first inning he played at ATT Park two years ago.
Kayelle - my son refuses to take meds, so he struggles. We do our best to support him. I know I have ADD, my father has dealt with it all his life, both my sister’s sons have ADD. Definitely a family/genetic tendency. It’s hard because we’re all really smart but so easily distracted.
Very touching…bless Andres for going public about his condition. This commercial should motivate others.
Thank you for sharing this. I watched with tears in my eyes. My son also has AHAD. It was his birthday yesterday and everyday is another emotional struggle with AHAD. We have tried medication with poor results. He now refuses medication and I have questions about it myself. It’s a tough situation and I feel for everyone who has it and the loved ones and friends who are effected about it.

Evie - he’s amazing. I’m a huge baseball fan, and I knew from the first inning I saw him play in San Francisco, I became his fan.
Kat - I’m with you. So very tough.
As a parent of a child with special needs thanks for sharing this. The more we educate people the better the world will be. Yes, I teared up watching this.
Wow, I have not heard of him before..
