Have a wonderful Easter.

Can somebody please teach me how to make these???

Can somebody please teach me how to make these???

I’m busy editing, working on a Passover Seder, i.e., the Last Supper, yeah takes me three days… Well, didn’t it take Jesus three days?

My thoughts and prayers are with all my wonderful family and friends who face personal and professional challenges this season.

Oh, Tom- go get this book for the grandkids. This is one of my kids’ all time favorite books: Rechenka’s Eggs, by Patricia Polacco.

One of our favorite stories!

Much love, Julia

  8. Oh Tom- don’t tell me that. Up your prednisone. You be safe for Easter. Kisses to the kiddies. love you!

  9. Not to harp on Kansas, but the state is a mini-melting pot of immigrants. Southeast KS where I grew up had strong Italian communities; French settlements to the north of us; Swedish in the center, and so on. In Western Kansas there were numerous Czechoslovakian, Polish and Russian communities. Wilson is a small town claiming to have the most ornate and largest carved-engraved-hand stained Czech/Russian eggs. I don’t know if that’s true, but they do have an amazing display and are very proud of it. They teach the process within their families and communities.

  10. Harp away, Marylin. I love to hear about Kansas. Iowa is like that too. So many people think the Midwest is homogeneous. It’s nothing of the sort. I do want to learn to create those eggs!

Hope your Easter/Passover was wondrous. And the edits are in the rear view mirror.
I’m still going to be working on mine for a few days yet.

  12. Thanks, Sandra! I am finished! Well, almost. Need to write the blurb and take a cover photo. Doing it myself this time. Good luck on your edits.
