The truth is, the more I write the more I rediscover my roots, and my roots grow from literary fiction and poetry.
It feels dang good to come back home.
I will always love romance, but the genre has changed over the past few years, become almost unrecognizable. I miss the hero’s journey, his walk through the valley of the shadow of death in his quest for true love, the power of love to alter and shape and transform.
More and more romance is sorta all about sex in all its myriad expressions.
I have no idea if or when I’ll write another romance. The rights to four romance books will revert to me next year and I’m excited to get a second look at them. But I’m trying something new… no something old…
I’ve started with Winnerland and with my inclusion in Unbridled. Hey, it’s a journey. Like I said, I love journeys.
