Me Happy! Vikings and Orphan Black!

Why would I not be happy? I have Vikings and Orphan Black to keep me happy. And truth be told… Game of Thrones wasn’t half-bad last week, now that Joffrey is gone for good. If I’d been forced to sit through his ass-holiness for one more episode I might have rammed a chopstick through my ear.

But dang! I’m so sad!!! Only one more episode of Vikings remains this season, a season which has been genius, by the way. Big boy Bjorn, son of Ragnar Lothbrok, rocks the house.

Bjorn, son of Ragnar Lothbrok.

Bjorn, son of Ragnar Lothbrok.

A tender father/son moment.

Lagertha- girl crush extraordinaire!

And you wonder why everyone wants to be like Lagertha?

And you wonder why everyone wants to be like Lagertha?

Rollo- the best Berserker ever. Sexy sexy tormented man beast.

Rollo. Be still my heart.

Rollo. Be still my heart.

And Ragnar, oh ye blue-eyed hunka hunka burnin’ Viking of understatement and thoughtfulness and insight.

A Northman with a destiny to meet.

Even liking the new and improved (i.e. less elitist) Aslaug.

Aslaug, on becoming human.

Can’t wait to watch Ivar the Boneless grow up. I hope Vikings keeps on going although that uncouth beast, King Aelle, makes me nervous. Because I’ve read my history… of course Ragnar’s sons will… (no spoilers)

Now Orphan Black, in Season Two, Episode Two- Governed by Sound Reason and True Religion, is hitting its stride. Yes, the clones are back in fine form and in this episode we have a little more time to appreciate each one of them. And (spoiler alert!) I knew it!

From the moment I saw Mrs. S I knew she knew more than she said she knew. I knew it!

Governed by Sound Reason and True Religion was truly terrific. Watch it. At last we get an inside look at the Prolethians. Scary stuff. I won’t give much away, except to say this branch of the society seems more reasonable than the more extreme branch, although equally deadly. I suspect they have their own plans for the clones. Their. Own. Plans.

Tatiana Maslany continues to amaze.

for goodness sake woman, sounds as if the elastic on yer knickers was about to give way during the splurge on Vikings, control yourself before you end up putting some mud on Oscars face, giving him a funny haircut and then having yer wicked way with him

Yes, looking forward to Orphan Black again, I think and what did I say when you first mentioned this to me about BBC UK putting it on BBC 3, which they have now decided to ditch or possibly make internet only, so here’s hoping they put it on BBC 2 at least and that they bloody tell us about it this time….

Ps: icky weekend as you know but firing on all bloody cylinders this morning which is just as well as I told you I am not angry with Mr C but I have been apoplectic with bloody contractors this morning I would play you some of my taped meetings but I fear even you would be offended by my turn of language as these hairy builders seem to be … xxxxxx

  2. Amber Skyze says:

I love Ragnar, but boy I’m finding Rollo more and more sexy every episode. I was worried last week. I kept saying to the hubby - NO, he’s too important to the show! ;) Gonna be sad after this week.

  3. Jaye says:

Whoo hoo. I can now get both shows streamed with netflix and hulu. I have a lot of graphics work coming up, so I can catch up on some good tv dramas. Not GoT, though. I watched a few episodes and could not get into it.

  4. Oh yay, Jaye! I’m so excited. You’ll love Vikings. GOT? Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t. Liked it last week. Last night? Not so much. It’s back-burnered for now.

  5. I love both, Amber, but Rollo especially! And I love Athelstan! Adore him! So glad he came back.

  6. Yes dear Tom, my knickers are about to give way! That Rollo! I hope you get to watch Orphan Black. I don’t understand why your BBC puts such a low value on it. It’s super good! Glad you’re feeling better, sorry your meetings suck!

  7. Sandra Cox says:

I blush to admit I haven’t seen anything mentioned. I hang my head in shame.

  8. Oh Sandra, get to watchin’! Watch both on demand.

  9. Sandra Cox says:

Just stopped by to say ‘hey’, Julia dear. Have a pleasant, restful evening.

  10. Hi, Sandra - was pretty much off all day due to a power failure. The power came back on at 11 p.m. last night. Thanks honey!
