I planned to post but…

instead I watched 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.  I admit it… I’ve been hot on Channing Tatum since I very first saw him in Step Up.  And now he’s in Magic Mike, which I’ll probably have to see by myself since I doubt hubby wants to get up close and personal with male strippers.

Sometimes an actor charms me.  Channing Tatum charms me.  And Jonah Hill– I’ve loved him since Superbad.

A quick announcement:  My Everything is now on Amazon.  Check it out.  Thanks for all your hard work, Jaye.

Security consultant Ben McCall is alone. His wife and unborn child are dead, victims of an assassination attempt meant for someone else. He blames himself. Grieving, he disappears, dead to almost everyone and everything from his past. When his best friend is in danger Ben resurfaces, only to find his friend isn’t the target of a murderer, he is.

Grace Adams is one of the walking wounded. A pain specialist who treats cancer patients, she’s lost her new husband to leukemia. One night she finds herself incapacitated by a severe headache. From out of nowhere a man comes to her aid. He’s the man she fell in love with years before, Ben McCall. As the passion between them reignites, Grace too becomes a target of the madman who stalks Ben.

Now it’s not just their rekindled love at stake, it’s their very lives.

I’m with ‘I’ on this one. if we lived nearby you and Ishbel could ‘play’ with the male strippers and he and I could have a beer while putting the world to right!

Well done on getting the new book out, let’s hope it goes into the stratosphere like wot that one that can’t be mentioned ……..

I’ll have to see Magic Mike alone too. I don’t get why the hubby won’t go with me. ;)
Congrats on getting My Everything out!

  3. Lorca Damon says:

Found online: “I love living in a world where men are waiting to see a movie about a teddy bear while women are lined up to watch a movie about strippers.”

I loved this book. Congrats on getting it back out there. Beautiful cover… As for the young chicky-boys… just can’t go there. They remind me too much of my grandsons… :-).

  5. 21 JUMP STREET was the B-day Girl’s Choice when a group of us went out to lunch and a movie. We loved the role reversals, and the unexpected charmer turned out to be Jonah Hill. August 1st is the last summer birthday lunch and movie, and the B-day Girl has already claimed MAGIC MIKE.
The husbands are VERY grateful for the females only b-day movies.
    Congrats on MY EVERYTHING, Julia.

  6. Congrats on that book of yours. I’m so happy for you. Oh and as for Chan Chan..I love him since Step Up. He has become a fine actor.

Congrats on the cover! And I loved the blurb. So happy to see nice people making good books!

  9. Thanks Margaret! What a sweet thing to say!

  10. Thanks, Savannah! Chan Chan is so cool – he’s just one of those actors who give this charming vibe, like he would be nice in real life.

  11. Marilyn – that sounds like a blast. I do love Jonah Hill in this and the role-switch is fun to watch. On to Magic Mike!

  12. Anny – LOL! Well then you must have hot, charming grandsons! Thanks!

  13. Great quote, Lorca! You should tweet it or retweet it!

  14. Thanks, Tom. Yes I think he’d rather go out for a beer, that’s for sure!

  15. 21 Jump Street. Isn’t that where Johnny Depp got his start? It’s a movie?

  16. Yes but it’s now a movie, Steph. Johnny Depp has a cameo. :P

  17. I got to be an Extra with Channing Tatum during Step Up :) He was very nice and was actually very quiet.

  18. Linda – how totally cool! He leaves one with the impression that he’s a nice guy. Charming is the best word I can come up with. Love your site!

  19. Thanks for checking out my site!
Yeah, it was funny. We were filming in November and they had all these heaters outside and Channing came out to warm his hands next to all us nobody extras. He seemed almost shy (I think it was his first starring role). And I remember thinking I should say something to him and of course I didn’t. Kicking myself now!

  20. Oh Linda, you shoulda! Like… “Hi…” That’s probably what I say or, “It’s cold, huh.” Because I’m so erudite. :P
